Binder 101
The Binder 101 PG/AC Specialist course trains and certifies an individual’s ability to properly test and evaluate asphalt binders. This course guides participants through the processes of testing and analyzing asphalt binders in accordance with AASHTO, ASTM, and TxDOT Test Procedures.
Pre-Requisites
There are no pre-requisites required for this class.
Certification

Binder 101 PG/AC Specialists are required to re-certify every three years.
Requirements
Technicians should have at least 6 months of experience in PG/AC testing and be knowledgeable in AASHTO and ASTM Standards.
