Binder 102 & 103
The Binder 102 Emulsion Specialist and Binder 103 Cutback Specialist course trains and certifies an individual’s ability to test and evaluate emulsions and cutbacks properly. This course guides participants through the processes of testing and analyzing emulsions and cutbacks in accordance with AASHTO, ASTM, and TxDOT Test Procedures.

There are no pre-requisites required for this class.
Certification

Binder 102 Emulsion/Cutback Specialists are required to re-certify every three years.
Requirements
Technicians should have at least 6 months of experience in Emulsion/Cutback testing and be knowledgeable in AASHTO and ASTM Standards.
