HMAC Coronavirus Update
The Materials and Tests Division (MTD) will not providing another extension for certifications. An extension was granted for certifications that expired between March 16, 2020 to October 1, 2020. This extension was granted until January 2, 2021. This means that certifications expiring beginning on October 2, 2020 will expire on the expiration date. In addition, the certifications receiving the extension will expire after January 2, 2021.
The goal is that by January 3, 2021, all certification programs are expected to return to their original schedule prior to the pandemic.

Please note that a grace period will be allowed on a case by case basis for the HMAC certifications expiring after October 2, 2020. To qualify, the technician must be registered for the certification class prior to the certification expiring and for a class prior to January 1, 2020. The HMAC will open additional certification classes as needed but they need to hear from you.
